To be a national, regional and international leader in teaching humanities and social studies, conducting academic research and developing students’ intellectual, interpersonal and professional skills.
The College of Arts is one of the first colleges that were established five decades ago. It consists of seven academic departments namely: Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, History Department, Geography Department, Mass Communication Department, Social Studies Department and Information Science Department.
One of the key objectives of the College of Arts is to maintain the Islamic Heritage and the language of the Holy Quran and Hadith. In addition, active participation in developing our country is one of the main objectives of the College. Therefore, it has contributed greatly to community service and the development of this country.

Objectives
1- Encouraging and activating and promoting academic research at COA.
2- Motivating faculty members to conduct research and studies in the fields studied in COA.
3- Supporting faculty members and lecturers’ research, whether carried out individually or in groups, and funding them fully or partially.
4- Taking part in achieving the goals of community development through the academic research approved by the Centre.
