~~ The College of Arts is one of the first colleges that were established five decades ago. It consists of seven academic departments namely: Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, History Department, Geography Department, Mass Communication Department, Social Studies Department and Library and Information Science.
One of the key objectives of the College of Arts is to maintain the Islamic Heritage and the language of the Holy Quran and Hadith. In addition, active participation in developing our country is one of the main objectives of the College. Therefore, it has contributed greatly to community service and the development of this country.
Our students and faculty members are our invaluable assets as they work tirelessly to stand out and succeed. We are proud of that because having such brilliant instructors and students is the cornerstone of building a distinguished college.
We believe that good education should be updated in light of the current new developments. Thus, we aspire to incorporate a number of skills in the new study plans of the College. These skills are the ones required by society to help students succeed in their careers after graduation.
In light of KSU’s current vision, the College aspires to boost the learning process, support academic research and establish national, regional and international partnerships so that the College best serves our society, academic research and the learning process in the Kingdom.

Vision
The mission of the College of Arts is providing high-quality learning experiences, and conducting outstanding research in humanities and social sciences underpinning Islamic and Arabic values and tradition. It actively fosters students’ knowledge, personal growth, creativity, effective communication, critical thinking, analysis, responsibility, lifelong learning, and the ability to apply them in real life situations. Furthermore, it encourages communities’ partnerships, creative activities and services to better serve the society.
