Resalat Al-Jami’ah newspaper, affiliated with King Saud University, is the first university newspaper in the Kingdom, and the first Arab university newspaper on the Internet. Its first issue was published on the 29th of Dhul-Qi’dah in the year 1395 AH, corresponding to the second of December 1975.
Journal of Arts The Journal of Arts is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers within the specializations of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The first volume was issued in 1390 AH/1970 as the Journal of the College of Arts, and the journal was subsequently published annually until 1404 AH/1984. In 1409 AH/1989, it was issued under the title Journal of King Saud University–Arts. In 1434 AH/2013, it was renamed the Journal of Arts and became triannual. In 1443 AH/2022, the journal began publishing quarterly. Vision To be a pioneering, distinguished journal in publishing in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and to be indexed in the global databases as one of the most famous regional (Arabian) and international publishing platforms. Mission To contribute to science by publishing peer-reviewed research in accordance with international and professional standards in the arts, humanities, social sciences. Objectives To be an academic source for researchers in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. To meet researchers’ needs for publishing in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. To foster knowledge in language, literature, the humanities, and social sciences and contribute to the development of society. Majalat al-Adab, or the Journal of Arts, is a peer-reviewed scientific journal supervised by the Scientific Journals Unit, which operates under the Deanship of Scientific Research at King Saud University. The objectives and main scope of the Journal aligns with those of the University, which is consistent with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision. The initial issue was released in the year 1390AH/1970. It is published quarterly each academic year and presents novel and significant academic papers in the fields of humanities and social sciences. The Editorial board is appointed by decision of the University Council. Furthermore, a decision has been made to assign a newly formed editorial board to initiate working and operating the Journal as of the second semester of 1445. The Journal seeks to serve as a gateway to significant scientific research in the social sciences and humanities field, encouraging societal advancement of these disciplines through scientific methodologies. The Journal welcomes the significant contributions of researchers from various universities and cultural backgrounds whose diversity develops the value and progression of scientific research. Additionally, a committee of professors recognized for their research expertise and academic integrity is commissioned by the Journal to peer review, evaluate, and develop the academic merit of research papers before their publication As an Editor-in-Chief, I extend a warm welcome to researchers interested in publishing their substantial research in the fields such as English and Arabic Language, media, history, social studies, media, geography, and information sciences. I encourage the scholars who are willing to publish their research to acquaint themselves with the publication guidelines of the Journal before submission. Dr. Fahd Abdulaziz Alebdha 1- The Journal publishes in two languages: Arabic and English. 2- The ideas and opinions in the published paper express the opinions of the authors and do not express the Journal’s opinions, nor its orientations. 3- The Journal is keen to publish genuine, original, and scientific papers in the Journal domains; its criteria for publishing the scientific papers is based on authenticity, originality, and significant contribution to the field, regardless of the author’s identity or background. 3- The Journal strictly stipulates that the research must not contain any plagiarism or violation of intellectual property; researchers will be asked to sign a form pledging such. 4- The Journal does not currently charge fees for processing nor publishing. 5- The Journal is keen to complete the review process of manuscripts within 40 days. However, it is keen to publish the manuscript on the Journal’s website within 80 working days from the research submission day after receiving approval from the King Saud University Press to publish Journal issues. 6- The Journal reserves all copyrights; without written consent from the Editor-in-Chief, it is not permitted to reprint, republish, or copy any part of the Journal in any form, including photocopying, recording, or storing in any database. 7- The Journal allows authors to request discussing and making corrections after publication in the case of errors related to typesetting/production or linguistic proofreading. The Journal receives such requests, evaluates their credibility, and corrects mistakes in both print and electronic copies. 8- The Journal uses a double-anonymous peer review model. After coordinating with the Scientific Journals Unit, the Journal communicates with several experts in scientific journal publishing, who are presented with samples of the Journal’s works (in its domains) to obtain their evaluation. 9- The Journal provides access to published materials without permission or subscription fees. 10- The Journal is available on its website without subscription fees. 11- Archiving: To provide an electronic backup of the Journal and enable access to its content when the Journal is not being published, the website of the electronic editorial system is being designed by the Scientific Journals Unit at King Saud University. The Journal is also available on Dar al-Mandumah and on EBSCO databases according to agreements between the University and these databases. 12- For those wishing to place advertisements in the Journal of Arts, the Journal’s advertising policy states that the editorial board, in coordination with the Scientific Journals Unit, may consider the submitted applications and their suitability, such as whether the advertisements are related to the Journal’s content and the researcher’s interests in the humanities and social sciences or to those of a wider audience; set appropriate conditions, such as whether the medium will be online or in hard copy; and determine the cost. It must be emphasized that the advertisements do not affect editorial decision-making and are separated from the published content. 13- Direct marketing: When the Journal engages in any direct marketing activities, it is keen to ensure that such activities are appropriate, well-targeted, unobtrusive, and that details about the publisher or Journal are truthful and not misleading to readers nor authors. 14- The Journal of Arts is keen to ensure the diversity of its editors’ and researchers’ countries of origin.
