Recommendations

  1. Send formal letters of appreciation to H.E. the Minister of Education Prof. Hamad Al-Sheikh, H.E. the President of King Saud University Prof. Badran Al-Omar, and the Secretary-General of King Faisal Prize Prof. Abdulaziz Al-Subaie for their support and follow-up.
  2. Archive and disseminate the conference proceedings in print and digital formats through public libraries and research centers.
  3. Promote translation of the Arabic linguistic and literary heritage into major world languages to foster knowledge exchange.
  4. Encourage further research on additional figures and domains in Arabic heritage and adjacent fields (e.g., history, geography).
  5. Broaden comparative and international perspectives on Arabic achievements studied by foreign scholarship.
  6. Abandon static readings of Arabic corpora; adopt dynamic, theory-informed approaches that keep pace with contemporary scholarship.
  7. Organize interdisciplinary symposia and conferences across the humanities to cultivate fertile, emerging research areas.
  8. Establish a standing council of experts in Arabic language and literature (from within and beyond the department) to convene the annual international conference—on-site or virtually—with authority to set the theme and nominate committees and members.

The committee also proposes the forthcoming theme “New Horizons in Linguistic and Literary Studies”, and will strive to follow up on implementing these recommendations while welcoming suggestions via the conference email.

May Allah guide our steps and grant success to all.
