Dean's Message

 The College of Arts is the first college established at King Saud University more than five decades ago, and it contains seven academic departments: the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, the Department of English Language and Literature, the Department of History, the Department of Geography, the Department of Media, the Department of Social Studies, and the Department of Library and Information Sciences.

One of the most important goals of the college is to preserve the Islamic heritage, preserve the language of the Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah, and consolidate Islamic concepts and ideals. One of the important goals of the college is to actively participate in advancing the development wheel in all its aspects in the Kingdom. Therefore, the college has contributed to its departments and continues to make luminous contributions to community service, and to push the wheel of development in the Kingdom.

Since its establishment, a large number of scholars, writers and leaders have graduated from it, who have played a major role in advancing the development and development of this country.

We also believe that quality education must adapt to the developments around us, so we seek that the new study plans of the college contain a number of skills that are added to the specialization subjects, which are skills that our society needs and prepare the student for success after graduation.

In line with the current vision of King Saud University, the college is currently seeking to raise the level of the educational process, support scientific research and build local, regional and global cooperation and partnership so that the college plays the best possible role to serve the community and serve the scientific research and educational process in the Kingdom.

About College

The College of Arts is one of the first colleges that were established five decades ago. It consists of seven academic departments namely: Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, History Department, Geography Department, Mass Communication Department, Social Studies Department and Information Science Department. One of the key objectives of the College of Arts is to maintain the Islamic Heritage and the language of the Holy Quran and Hadith. In addition, active participation in developing our country is one of the main objectives of the College. Therefore, it has contributed greatly to community service and the development of this country. Our students and faculty members are our invaluable assets as they work tirelessly to stand out and succeed. We are proud of that because having such brilliant instructors and students is the cornerstone of building a distinguished college. We believe that good education should be updated in light of the current new developments. Thus, we aspire to incorporate a number of skills in the new study plans of the College. These skills are the ones required by society to help students succeed in their careers after graduation. In light of KSU’s current vision, the College aspires to boost the learning process, support academic research and establish national, regional and international partnerships so that the College best serves our society, academic research and the learning process in the Kingdom.
